The second coming in Porsche's holy trinity. The Carrera GT can be considered as the ultimate supercar, sporting a mid mounted Formula One derived 5.7 liter V10 engine producing 612 horsepower. Combine that with an increasingly rare option for a manual transmission and a redline of 8400 RPM the Carrera GT (or CGT) is destined for the history books.

Fun facts about the Porsche Carrera GT:
The Carrera GT's shiftknob is made out of birch and ash, as an homage to the balsa wood shift knob used in the Porsche 917 racecar. This type of wood is lighter than aluminum and does not conduct heat, as 917 drivers experienced problems with the shift knobs burning their hands.
The Carrera GT has different colored center lock nuts to make sure that the appropriate wheel goes on the correct side of the car.
It is the first car to use a carbon fiber reinforced plastic monocoque chassis and weighs only 220 pounds.
