I started Artlines Design about four years ago. Driven by my love for cars and simple, clean designs. The catalogue has grown from around 250 cars to over 900 cars currently, and is growing all the time thanks to your requests.
To this day it humbles me that car enthusiasts all over the world show their passion for cars through my designs. Imagining my shirts exists in places all over the USA and countries like Japan, Australia, even Malaysia and many more blows my mind and brings me immense joy.
To visualize how amazing this is to me I made a world map that includes the city of every order from the start of Artlines Design up to about a month ago. I'm not sure how much people will be interested in seeing this, but for myself it is such a crazy sight seeing how from my laptop I can bring products into the world that are enjoyed by people all over the world.
I hope to reach many more people in the future, hear their stories and be shown their passion of cars.

BMW M GmbH - or more commonly known as BMW M (for motorsport), is BMW's performance division founded in the 70's. BMW had a desire to attract exotic car owners of brands such as Ferrari and Aston Martin by creating the BMW M1, a 1,14 meter tall (44.9 inch), mid-engined, six cylinder racecar designed by none other than the legendary ItalDesign designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. Giugiaro worked for various automotive companies breathing into life beautiful and timeless cars such as the Golf MK1, Lotus Esprit S1, DeLorean, Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint and many more.
Founded by motorsports, kicked off with Italian design and most importantly, fueled by passion.
The M1 Procar was used to race in series created by head of BMW Motorsport suitably called the "Procar BMW M1 Championship" featuring many identical racecars driven by various Formula One drivers, notably Nikki Lauda. Besides the conveniently named racing series, the M1 also competed in the more well known Le Mans over a span of eight years. To homologate the M1 Procar, BMW produced a mere 456 road legal versions badged with the iconic 'M' logo.
In 1980, BMW released the E12 M535i, regarded by many enthusiasts as the first proper M division model. By giving their regular production road cars the M treatment, BMW solidified their notoriety for dynamic performance. In a car that also came with a 1.8 liter inline-4 engine. Since then, BMW has evolved over the decades and the M lineup has developed and expanded to include various models such as the X and Z series. With electricification looming over all ICE cars, there is no knowing how long the iconic 6-cylinder engines will last. But we can always expect M to deliver what it stands for - pure driving enjoyment.
And now, please enjoy this quick guide of the history and timeline of the BMW M cars.

Another interesting thing is the amount of V8's has not increased, notably because of the presence of some Japanese sports cars like the LC and GT-R. The Audi R8 is still a unique sports car in this segment having a V10. Let me know if you enjoyed this infographic and leave a comment if you have any suggestions!
]]>Are you or are you close to someone who spends all their precious time doing nothing else but look at, read about or driving cars? Imagine: you surprise your significant other with a cozy coffee date to discuss your holiday plans. Your enthusiasm turns into disbelief as you notice their gaze and their attention drifting away towards the fancy Porsche driving past. If you are not into cars it could take a lot of effort to come up with a satisfying car-gift for a car enthusiast. What do you give as a present for let's say, a birthday or christmas or simply a nice surprise?
What about a high quality t-shirt featuring a unique design of their own or favorite car? Each car is hand drawn and each t-shirt is printed on demand. You or your beloved one could be the only person in the world to own and wear a Lancia Stratos t-shirt!
On Artlines Design you will find more than 700 car t-shirts in a growing collection out of over 70 car brands. Know someone who is in love with BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen, Honda or (pretty much) any other car brand? You will find the most perfect and unique car gift here. If you can't find the car you are looking for then I will draw it for you personally and upload it to the store. Guaranteed!

Led by Thomas Majchrzak, this German (but English spoken) channel is all about in-depth reviews. Often lasting around 45 minutes to an hour their reviews do not miss any details. If you like to know everything about a car this is the channel for you. Reviews are split in going over the exterior, interior and driving. Thomas and the other hosts do a great job at explaining technical details, infotainment systems and design. Autogefühl covers new cars from all types of brands and price ranges, check them out if you are looking to buy a new car or if you simply want to know everything about a car.

Carwow is another channel to help you buy a new car. Shorter videos with a different approach, there is definitely more character to the carwow videos created by the host Mat Watson. Besides reviews carwow also posts videos of drag races with interesting line ups for example Audi RS models, Aventador x Tesla Model X and silly but entertaining comparisons like an Audi RS3 against a Jaguar I-Pace. At the end of their reviews you get an offer to buy the particular car in a specification you are looking for with a discount through the carwow website.

TheSmokingTire features new cars and cars from viewers, with those cars often being (heavily) modified with excellent commentary from Matt Farah and Zack Klapman. What makes TheSmokingTire great are their 'One Takes'; unedited and unfiltered as described on the channel these videos contain 10-30 minutes of constant commentary about the cars driving ability, specs, mods, comparisons to other cars, cyclists on the road, logs on the road and more. Matt and Zack both have a great amount of technical and general knowledge about cars and combined with their presentation skill and the awesome roads in Los Angeles makes for very interesting videos. I highly recommend checking TheSmokingTire out if you (somehow) have not yet heard of them.

Run by Yuri and Jakub - two friends with great chemistry - they have been doing car reviews for a little bit, and with their crisp production value and quality content they deserve every subscriber they have recently been gaining. Yuri and Jakub's friendship translates to their videos in an awesome way and adds to the enjoyability of their reviews rather than having a single reviewer talking to the camera, you feel like you're in the car with some buddies.
What I especially like about The Straight Pipes as a graphic designer is the attention to detail, every thumbnail looks great with their awesome logo and car names. Additionally the occasional animated graphics (for example to explain downforce) in their reviews is another showcase of the attention to detail that raises the production value of their reviews.
Looking into the Artlines crystal ball I can see The Straight Pipes becoming a very big channel in the future because of their consistency and their genuine approach.

Hide your quirks, hide your features because Doug DeMuro is coming for all of them. Doug's videos follow along a format of showing off the car, its quirks and features, engine, watching Doug painfully get in coupe backseats, trunk, convertible top (very important if applicable). Odd things like an illustration of the particular car on the windshield or a plaque with the engine firing order on it is what you will find if you decide to venture to Doug's channel. Here is a video about Doug's top 15 quirks and features of 2018.
Doug DeMuro is one that every car guy or gal should be subscribed to. Even if his reviews get a little repetitive for you at times because of the formatted nature, sometimes a car will pop up that is so outlandish you just have to watch it. Or if unobtainable hypercars aren't your thing, Doug often posts reviews of cars like the Mazda MX-5 ND or even more pedestrian cars such as a Honda Odyssey.
The crazy thing about Doug DeMuro is that his videos usually get millions of views even if the review is about a 'normal' car and without resorting to clickbait or other modern Youtube antics. Doug DeMuro is a very genuine car guy and one of the most professional Youtubers out there (he made a video about his car review insurance).

The same goes for hats, I have started adding hats to my collection but it takes a bunch of time to upload every single car (at this moment there are more than 600 files I need to upload, select colors, prices, add tags. You can imagine the amount of work this would be). So if you would like to order a certain car on a hat, let me know!
I will be working on adding colors and hats regardless of requests, but you might want a Toyota hat while I'm working on adding Fords.

]]>Well, BMW has gone full crazy and used a previous generation (F10) M5 to refuel the F90 M5 five times side to side during the drift. When the new M5 was getting low on fuel, the F10 crew would gear up and drift up to the circuit, then they would get as close to the F90 as possible, coordinating the whole thing driver to driver. The refueller guy would then - sticking out the rear window the whole time - use the fuel nozzle to connect to the F90. This is the first time that anyone has refueled a car mid drift and BMW had to engineer the whole mechanism from scratch.
The previous record was set by South African motoring journalist Jesse Adams using 2017 Toyota GT86 drifting a total of 165.04 KM.

It's not easy to build something from scratch. Last year I started out small by creating an account on a print on demand website.Since August I have moved to my own domain not really knowing what would happen.
What it all started with is graphic design. I started studying graphic design in 2015 and a few months later it dawned on me to combine my love of cars with my love of graphic design and minimalism. What came out is what you now know as Artlines Design. Creating minimalistic artwork of cars and seeing it hanging on your walls is what truly brings me joy. Seeing a customers wall with my artwork is a weird and great feeling.
Right now at the end of the year, I am proud to say that Artlines Design is growing more and more and I am working and learning everyday how I can improve your experience and the product that you receive.
There are many new great things to come in 2018, and I look forward to another great year. But right now I just want to say thank you all for your support and I will hopefully see you again in 2018!
